yet, words not taken lightly in the life of a child who rarely sees people consistently return once they leave.
If I could capture the priceless look in the children's eyes as I returned to Sungno, after being in the USA over the summer, it would be just that, "You came back!" I saw it especially in Ah-young's endearing smile as she delightfully greeted me with a hug and exclaimed in her mixed Korean and English, "I am happy because I meet you!". This shows an exceptional breakthrough with this young 10 year old girl, who initially was very quiet and withdrawn, hardly showing affection when I first met her 3 years ago. Returning to these children reaffirms time and again how significant my promise to come back is to them. Each time I return, I find our bonds of trust becoming stronger. I cherish these sweet moments with these joyful, beautiful little ones! Oh what inexpressible joy to re-connect with the children, Jesus giving me a glimpse of His heart for this brief moment!!
